csCounter ::FREE:: web counter

"Like all of our scripts, csCounter is very easy to insall and very easy to configure. With a web based management screen that requires a username and password to access you can create a new counter with the click of a button.Set the beginning counter value or leave at zero to start. Edit existing counter values.

Set the number of digits to display on counter. For example, if you set the digit count to 10 and there are 1248 hits to site the counter will look like this:

0000001248

The digit output is in raw text format. Adjusting the font is done using your favorite HTML editor.

You can specify whether you want to count unique hits only or you can count all page views, including refreshes/reloads. You can set the counter to hidden. This will make the digits invisible on the page. It will still count page views. Easily reference counter values on the main management page. The value for each counter is displayed next to each counter."

Image counter is a background web counter that can be used to track page hits without displaying a count of them on your page. It also keep a log of the Date/Time, IP Address, and Host Name for each count. Just update the 3 config variables and replace the call to the image on you page with a call to this script and the result will be transparent to your visitors, but you will begin to track hits. It works by hiding behhind one of the images that you would normaly load on your web page. To us this counter just put the three files in your cgi-bin directory, edit the three configuration items, and replace the image url in the image tag on you webpage. When the page is loaded and the call is made to this script it will make the call to your image, and update your countlog file as well.
